Haven't tried power carving tools so it's pretty normal to find it intimidating but this one is a good step for beginners like me to start with. Helped me get comfortable and dial in my techniques. I had a blast using it
Carving at the age of 82 with arthritis would be impossible for me without this. Attached it to my angle grinder and voila been made spoons and bowls with it for a while now
Great for removing waste and shaping rough carving projects
Hogged out the top of a large Crepe Myrtle Stump to be used as a planter. It worked pretty well as soon as it got a few inches deep into the wood where i was able to pull it into vertical surfaces. It's easy to control and it isn't prone to skipping or wrenching out of my hands. I'm very happy with it
