Q: How to screw into the tool holder? Are the threads upside down?

A: When you place the tool into the holder, you should be able to hold the tool with one hand and use the other to hand tighten the overthrow nut from underneath. You should feel the tool tighten in the holder as the overthrow nut grabs the threading on the housing of the tool. Once the tool is stable in the holder, you can snug that overthrow bolt with the large wrench that comes with the Workstation. If you find you're turning and nothing happens, try turning in the other direction.

Q: What is the length and width of the base?

A: The base is approximately 6.75" wide x approximately 8" long. The height from the tabletop to the top of the post with a center extension all the way down is approximately 14 1/2".
