These bits make short work of 1/8" steel tubing. Remember to use cutting oil. Still going strong after 20+ holes..
They cut a smooth hole in hard steel. Use oil as you normally would and they will last a long time. They are very hard and so they are brittle. Treat them as you would any hard tool. I use them in a drill press so the feed is consistent and square. In a hand held drill I don't know how they will work.
These bits are amazing! Had a piece of metal that was around 3/8" thick, and with just some cutting on on my press these babies just cut through with no issues. For the price and product, I would definitely recommend.
Needed a 2" hole saw to cut through the sheet metal in my RV compartment for vented golf cart battery boxes. Read mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try because it was reasonably priced. Pleasantly surprised by how quickly it made the two holes.
