For a cheap saw, this unit is perfect for the homebody do it yourselfer. Even with the factory blade, it cuts clean and fast. I really like the laser beam. It saves me from straining my eyes to see the path the blade is taking, and it helps me make better, straighter cuts.
I can only compare this tool to the Ryobi saw that I bought from Home Depot. The Ryobi saw cost about the same as this saw. It was not as quiet, it did not have a laser too help with accurate cuts, and the blade only had 20 teeth. The Ryobi saw felt cheaply made.
I wasn't expecting anything from this, but it's a killer. If you need to make straight cuts, the laser guide comes in handy. It's simple to disengage the safety mechanism when cutting, but it re-engages when you're done. It's handy, so it doesn't get in the way. The blade that came with the saw is adequate, but you'll probably want to buy a few more.
This unit is ideal for do-it-yourselfers who prefer the comfort of their own home. It's well-cut. The engine is great . It has a nice weight to it and fits in my hand comfortably.
This circular saw would be ideal for you if you are a DIY home owner who only plans on using it for small projects. It includes a laser, making it simple to make fine, even cuts. In direct sunlight, the laser is barely visible. Set up your sawhorses in the shade if you're working outdoors.
