I have milled dozens of large logs with this mill in the past several years. I have never had an issue with them mill. Nothing works loose, nothing gets out of square/plane and the saw has never worked loose. I originally ran this mill with a 36" bar allowing me to cut widths up to 29" I recently installed at 42" bar allowing me to cut up to 34" and the mill still works fine. I also recently added a winch system to the mill and that has worked well too. I can't imagine the more expensive versions of this mill working any better than this one has for me.

I like the fact that it is so portable. I can mill all over my property by throwing it in the back of my pickup. It literally can go anywhere. It also helps cut smoothly and saves me a lot of time working on those logs!
This is very cool. We had some big beautiful trees go down and I did not have the heart to turn it all into firewood. We got this and it is awesome. It will guide your chainsaw to cut boards to however thick you want. I now have wood drying so we can make an attempt at making stuff from the trees on our property. I also have a 5" thick X 10' piece of walnut drying. My wife wants me to make it into a mantel. Could be very cool with the live edge. Who knows, I may have found a new hobby.
