Set back to "Weld or Cut " as soon as finished Grinding to avoid accidental flash. When using the "Cut" mode, the "Shade" dial then has the range "5-9". When using "Weld" mode, The "Shade" dial then has the range "9-13".

Excellent Helmet

I'm a hobby welder so I'm not an expert by any means but I can say from my many years as a hobby welder that this is an excellent helmet. First the automatic darkening feature works flawlessly. It is very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust the fittings. It seems like is well made and should last many years.

Made it easier to see

My previous helmet was a nice, expensive, but probably 15-20 years old. This one is so much better. it's way easier to see through before you start welding, so you can see what you're doing better. And once the darkening activates, it is very clear to see through. I wish I would have bought it sooner!

Nice Large Window!

I've been using this helmet for a couple of weeks now and really like it. I purchased this helmet because I was having difficulties seeing where I was welding with my old one. What a difference! Nice large window with good adjustability on the settings.

Way Better than my old one

Way better than my auto-darkening helmet from HF. Viewer is huge and lens is clearer, head straps are quite comfortable, and mode switch on side is great to have. Haven't used it very long, but enjoying it so far.

Comfortable to use

Perfect helmet for a weekend welder. I wouldn't use it everyday all day but it is very comfortable, auto darkening works great, very adjustable.
