When I have a busted water line, I frequently have to turn off the city main valve, and I constantly struggle to locate a city employee to do it, especially on weekends. Now I won't have to anymore since I can easily shut it off on my own!
We experienced a water leak at our home, but it wasn't discovered in time to prevent more damage. Additionally, we have been turning off the water until we get service because no one lives there other than twice a week. Since I have to reach inside the meter box to turn off the water, this is really a great back saver and safety tool.
