If you can not pick every person in your home off the floor, you should own this. My family member fell and broke a hip, he's 6'3” and 240#. I am not, so getting him to the hospital was impossible without calling an ambulance. I purchased this immediately after, so I never had to be that helpless again. Fast forward 30 days, he went down again, but this time I had this! It only took 20 seconds to get him into his chair. Durable, portable, easy to use, he was able to slide up onto this and take a breath, while it raised him high enough to slide to his wheel chair. Even he said, this thing is a life saver. We bought this to allow us to get my husband up when he falls so we will not have to rely on neighbors or the fire department. It works well except for the fact that it is very heavy to carry. The closed size is good and stores well.
