I was very hesitant to purchase this. I have had copper wire just piling up and I kept telling my self that I would strip it my self. Using a knife by the way. I kept looking at this and thinking to myself it's not worth it and I could do it myself and save the money. Every few months I would look this thing up think about getting it and then the whole thought process started again. I can do it myself. This went on for almost two years. Well one day staring at all my wire I finally just made the purchase. I figured if it didn't work out I would return it or sell it. Well let me tell you that this thing is a game changer. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner. I was able to strip more wire in two hours than I could in two days with out this. And I'm talking wire sizes from #4 up to 350mcm. It did it all!! With ease! I am literally kicking myself in the ass for not getting it sooner. To anyone contemplating getting one I say this with the utmost confidence , do not wait any longer. You will not regret it. I've only had this for about two weeks now so if I have any issues in the future I will update this post.
This saved us so much after me and my coworker cut are thums doing wire we got this and boy did it save us so much pain it dose take little getting used to not as easy as they show in the video but very close to it.
This is a great little work horse for stripping wire. We've mainly used it for Romex, but it also does cable wire very well. It does take some patience to get the setting right with the different sizes of wire, but once you get that set, it works like a champ. I will say the outside coating of the wire will get sucked back into the rollers occasionally. We use a small pair of needle nose pliers to get any of that out. It doesn't happen a lot, but it's something to be aware of. You have to watch the depth of the blade if you choose to strip the smaller size cable wire as it will cause the strands to crumble if the blade is down too far.
It worked really well for us as we had a bunch of an inch thick copper 00 wire, used for power for my shop for three power, stripped it and made approximately $2100 just stripping it whereas they offered me 450 dollars for Dirty copper After one usage is paid for and I can use it for other jobs easy to set up use and understand like to say that this is a two-man job if your wire has bends in it
